{"id":56640,"date":"2018-03-01T07:18:35","date_gmt":"2018-03-01T07:18:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.i-believe.org\/?p=56640"},"modified":"2018-03-01T07:18:35","modified_gmt":"2018-03-01T07:18:35","slug":"muslim-clerics-in-lucknow-agree-to-shift-namaz-timings-to-ensure-peaceful-holi-celebrations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/i-believe.org\/gbrifoundation\/2018\/03\/01\/muslim-clerics-in-lucknow-agree-to-shift-namaz-timings-to-ensure-peaceful-holi-celebrations\/","title":{"rendered":"Muslim clerics in Lucknow agree to shift namaz timings to ensure peaceful Holi celebrations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Few days ago, the Chief Minister of north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh urged his officials to discuss with the Muslim clerics the possibility\u00a0of shifting namaz timings in order to ensure peaceful Holi (a Hindu festival) celebrations.<\/p>\n<p>In a heartwarming response, the\u00a0clerics in Lucknow have decided to shift namaz timings for Jumah prayers this Friday to accommodate the large-scale Holi celebrations that take place in the city.<\/p>\n<p>President of the Islamic Center of India, Maulana Khalid Rasheed Farangi Mahli,\u00a0requested mosques in areas with mixed Hindu and Muslim populations to postpone their Friday prayers on March 2 keeping sentiments of Hindus in mind.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe official permission to play colors is till 12 pm, but people do generally go beyond that time.
