The company recently announced that it will stop the use of plastic straws and spoons across\u00a0its 600-plus Scoop Shops around the globe very soon. It also plans to shift completely to wooden spoons by April this year.\u00a0Paper straws will only be available upon request.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Jenna Evans, Ben &amp; Jerry\u2019s Global Sustainability Manager, is leading the transition. She noted that Ben &amp; Jerry\u2019s Scoop Shops currently hand out 2.5 million plastic straws a year, and 30 million plastic spoons.
