This non-profit planted 250 million trees in 15 years
A non-profit organization called Eden Restoration Projects has achieved a commendable feat. It has succeeded in planting more than 250 million trees over a span of 15 years – that too by providing a source of livelihood to impoverished villagers.
The organization aims to provide fair wage employment to thousands of local poor villagers in several countries to rebuild natural landscapes destroyed by deforestation. It provides them with the education and tools necessary to plant, grow, and protect to maturity, millions of trees each year.
In a groundbreaking reforestation announcement, CEO Steve Fitch announced the organization has planted 250 million trees throughout all their project nations.
“And in a few years, we’re going to be 250 million trees per year,” Fitch says.
